What it does

What Smart Services covers

App notifications are free and always work. Smart Services is the paid layer on top: alerts that reach you on WhatsApp and by email, and cloud storage for your camera recordings.

The reason it matters is simple. A push notification only helps if your phone is unlocked and the app is installed. A WhatsApp message arrives whether or not you have opened the app that week, and an email leaves a record you can go back to.

What is included

•My Subscriptions — view and manage your active plans.

•Email Service — alerts for workflows, automations, energy events and camera activity, sent to your email.

•WhatsApp Service — instant WhatsApp alerts for the same events.

•Cloud Backup & Alerts — motion-triggered camera recordings stored in the cloud, plus camera event notifications. The number of cameras covered depends on your plan.

•Redemption Center — redeem voucher codes to start or extend a subscription.

•Home Summary — a daily overview of your home's energy use.

Credits, and how they are used

Email and WhatsApp both run on credits. For each service you can see:

•Total credits

•Used credits

•Remaining credits

•A usage progress bar

Every notification sent uses credit, so it is worth turning off the alert types you do not need rather than paying for messages nobody reads.

Setup

Your subscriptions

My Subscriptions lists every plan, active and expired. Each card shows the status, the services included, the start and end dates, service usage and remaining balance. Tap any one for the full details.

The Subscription Details page adds:

•Validity — start and end date

•Included services

•Service usage and remaining balance

•Usage history

•Alert settings

•Subscribed users

From here you can also Pause Subscription or Cancel Subscription.

Choose which alerts are sent

Expand the Email or WhatsApp service card to set your preferences. You can switch each of these on or off:

•Workflow Trigger

•Automation Trigger

•Energy Alerts

•Camera Events

Who receives them

Alerts can go to several people at once. Tap Users to:

•Add a recipient

•Remove someone

•Edit the list

Everyone enabled receives the alerts you have switched on.

Real-life example: The energy alerts go to the person who pays the bill, and the security alerts go to both parents. Nobody gets woken up for a notification that was never theirs.

How to use

Usage history

Every notification sent through your subscription is logged. The Usage History page shows:

•Notification type

•Which service was used — Email or WhatsApp

•Date and time

•Number of recipients

•Credits consumed

•Remaining balance

Check it if your credits are going down faster than you expected. Usually it is one chatty workflow sending to four recipients.

Cloud Backup

Cloud Backup stores recordings from supported cameras in the cloud and turns on event notifications, so you can go back and watch what happened rather than only being told about it. How many cameras are covered depends on your plan.

Redemption Center

Got a voucher code? Enter it in the Redemption Center to activate or extend a plan without buying a new one.

Home Summary

A daily snapshot of the home's energy.

1.Tap Automations.

2.Open the Smart tab.

3.Tap Home Summary.

It shows:

•The daily home summary

•Room-by-room energy consumption

•Your highest and lowest consuming rooms

•Total energy used

•A Smart Tip of the Day

•Previous summaries, under See Old Summary

If today's summary is not ready yet, you can still open the last one.
