Overview
The Smart Lock Basic (BLE) is Beakn's entry-level residential smart door lock, positioned as the recommended first smart lock for a home's main door on a budget. It replaces a traditional key-only lock with a multi-method electronic lock — fingerprint, PIN, RFID card, mobile app, OTP, or mechanical key — while remaining fully offline-capable and battery-powered (no mains wiring required).
It runs on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 5.2), meaning the Beakn app can unlock the door only when the phone is within Bluetooth range, unless the optional Beakn Gateway is added later for remote/anywhere unlock. This makes it an affordable, upgrade-friendly starting point in the Beakn smart lock lineup.

•No mains wiring or neutral wire needed — the lock runs entirely on AA batteries.

Q: Can I unlock this lock from outside my home (remotely)?
A: Not by default — the BLE lock only responds to the app within Bluetooth range. Add the optional Beakn Gateway to enable remote unlock over WiFi.
Q: What happens if the battery dies?
A: You'll get low-battery alerts in advance. If it fully dies, use the USB-C emergency power input with a power bank to revive it, or use the mechanical key as fallback.
Q: Does the lock work if WiFi/internet is down?
A: Yes. Fingerprint, PIN, RFID card, and mechanical key all work fully offline. Only remote app unlock outside Bluetooth range (which requires a Gateway) is affected.
Q: I lost my RFID card — do I need to replace the lock?
A: No. Cancel the lost card instantly from the Beakn app; no rekeying needed.
