Nexa Retrofit 1 Switch 1 Fan
The Nexa Retrofit 1+1 is a WiFi smart switch module combining one switch channel and one capacitive fan regulator in a single unit. It installs behind your existing switchboard in approximately 15 minutes — no rewiring, no new switch plates, no civil work. Once installed, your bedroom light and ceiling fan can be controlled by app, voice, schedule, or the original physical switches, exactly as before.
It is the purpose-built solution for a bedroom with one light and one fan: both loads, one module, full smart control.
The 1+1 runs entirely on Beakn's own in-house platform (not Tuya or any white-label system), comes with all 20 app features included free with no subscription, and carries a 3-year warranty.

Requirements
•Neutral wire must be present at the switchboard — required for all NEXA variants. Most Indian switchboards already have one; your electrician confirms during installation.
•Existing switch plate and switches stay in place — no drilling, plastering, or civil work.
•WiFi network available at the installation location.
Process
1.Electrician opens the existing switchboard.
2.23mm NEXA 1+1 module is placed behind the board.
3.Wiring is connected:
•Switch channel wired to the light load
•Fan regulator channel wired to the ceiling fan
•Neutral connected
4.Board is closed. Physical switches remain and continue to work.
5.Module is commissioned via the Beakn app — approximately 15 minutes total.
Wiring Notes
•Switch channel (10A relay): connects to the light or any resistive/LED load up to the rated maximums.
•Fan channel (capacitive regulator): connects directly to the ceiling fan; supports fans up to 80W. Do not connect non-fan inductive loads to the fan channel.
•2-way switching is supported — the 1+1 can be integrated into an existing 2-way switch circuit without additional wiring changes.
•No hub required — connects to standard 2.4GHz home WiFi directly.

Q: What loads does the 1+1 control?

Q: Can I schedule the fan speed?
Yes. Fan speed steps can be scheduled for specific days and times, included in scenes, or triggered by routines. Example: step 2 at midnight, step 4 at 5 AM. This is unique to NEXA combo variants.
Q: Does it need a neutral wire?
Yes — a neutral wire must be available at the switchboard. All NEXA variants require neutral. Most Indian switchboards already have one; your electrician will confirm this during the 15-minute install.
Q: Does the physical wall switch still work?
Yes, always. The physical switches continue to work normally. App and voice control are added on top — nothing is taken away.
Q: Does it work without internet?
Yes. Schedules, auto-off timers, and wall switches work locally without internet. Local app control also works on the same WiFi. Only remote access from outside the home requires an active internet connection.
Q: Can I control it with Siri / Alexa / Google?
