LPF Retrofit 4 Switch
The LPF Retrofit 4 Switch is a four-channel WiFi smart switch module from Beakn's Low Profile Retrofit range. At just 16mm thin, it slides invisibly behind any standard Indian switchboard, converting all four switches in a room into fully app- and voice-controlled smart switches — without touching the switch plates, without rewiring, and without any civil work.
It is the go-to module for a standard bedroom or living room with 3–4 loads (lights, fan circuit, geyser, AC, exhaust, etc.). One module, one 15-minute install, and the entire room's switchboard is smart. Each of its four channels carries a 16A relay, making it powerful enough to run a 1.5-ton split AC, a 2kW geyser, or any other heavy household appliance directly — no external contactor required.
All 20 Beakn app features are included free, forever. No subscription, no hub, no visible change to the switchboard.

Installation & Wiring
What the install involves
1.Electrician opens the existing switchboard.
2.The 16mm LPF 4 Switch module is placed in the cavity behind the board.
3.Load wires from all four switches are connected to the module's terminals.
4.The board is closed. Switch plates and physical switches remain completely unchanged.
Total time: approximately 15 minutes per board.
Civil work required: none — no drilling, no plastering, no new conduit.
Visible change: none — the module is completely hidden behind the existing plate.
Wiring requirements
•Neutral wire is mandatory. A neutral must be available at the switchboard. Most standard Indian switchboards already carry a neutral; the electrician confirms availability during install.
•Operating voltage: 240V AC, 50/60 Hz — standard Indian mains.
•2-way switching: supported on all four channels if required.
After installation
•Physical wall switches continue to work exactly as before — nothing changes for family members who don't use the app.
•App control, voice control, schedules, and timers are added on top.

Use Cases
Whole-room smart conversion — standard bedroom or living room
The LPF 4 Switch is purpose-built for a room with 3–4 loads. One install converts the entire room's board. Typical load mapping: ceiling light, bed-side light, fan circuit, AC or geyser.
Geyser auto-off (most popular use case)
Connect the geyser to one channel, set a 20-minute auto-off timer. The geyser shuts off automatically no matter how it was switched on — app, voice, or wall switch — without requiring any change in family habits. Estimated saving: ₹1,500–2,000/month on electricity.
Voltage / surge protection
Enrol the AC or geyser in Safe Mode. If voltage spikes above 280V or dips below 200V, the module disconnects the load automatically. Prevents roughly ₹18,000–25,000 of appliance damage from a single surge event.
Morning routine automation
Map geyser, lights, and exhaust to a multi-step routine. A single scene or schedule starts the whole morning sequence — zero manual operations required.
AC night cycling (paired with IR blaster)

What exactly is the LPF 4 Switch?
A four-channel WiFi smart switch module, 16mm thin, that installs behind your existing four-switch board. It adds app control, voice control, scheduling, and automation to all four switches in a room — without changing switch plates, without rewiring, and without any civil work.
Is the LPF 4 Switch the right product for a standard bedroom?
Yes. It is specifically designed for a standard bedroom or living room with 3–4 loads. One module covers the entire room's board.
Can it run my AC, geyser, or other heavy appliance?
Yes. Each channel is rated at 16A, which handles a 1.5-ton split AC (7–10A draw), a 2kW geyser, and similar heavy loads directly — no external contactor or relay required. Most competitor modules are rated 6A or 10A and cannot safely handle these loads.
How many LED lights can I connect per channel?
Up to 200W or 6 LED units, whichever is lower.
What about a ceiling fan?
The module includes a capacitive 5-step fan regulator for fan loads up to 80W.
Does it need a neutral wire?
Yes — a neutral wire must be available at the switchboard. This applies to all Low Profile retrofit variants, including the 4 Switch. Most Indian boards already have a neutral; your electrician will confirm during the 15-minute install.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Wall switches always work. Schedules and auto-off timers run locally on the module and fire without internet. Local app control works over the same WiFi network. Only remote access from outside the home requires internet.
Does the auto-off timer work if someone turns the load on at the wall switch?
Yes — the auto-off timer fires regardless of how the load was switched on (app, voice, schedule, or physical wall toggle). This is especially important for the geyser use case — you don't have to retrain the family.
Does it support 2-way switching?
Yes — any or all channels can be configured for 2-way switching, controlling one load from two physical switch points.
