Overview
The Beakn Energy Meter 1 Phase 16A is a compact, enclosed inline energy monitor designed for single-phase homes and circuits. It installs directly inside your distribution panel — the incoming live and neutral wires pass through the meter body itself, with no external CT clamps required. It monitors your home's electrical health every second in real time, sending instant alerts to the Beakn app and WhatsApp when voltage or power factor moves into a dangerous range. When paired with Beakn smart switches or plugs in Safe Mode, it can automatically disconnect enrolled appliances during a voltage event.
It is a sub-meter on your side of the panel — it does not replace your DISCOM billing meter.

No. Your DISCOM smart meter is a sealed, legally calibrated billing device. The Beakn Energy Meter 1 Phase 16A is a separate sub-meter installed on your side of the panel for monitoring, alerts, and appliance protection. Both run in parallel and serve different purposes.
Q: Does it need a neutral wire?
